From growing up on the plains of coastal North Carolina, first meeting in Sunday school, marrying in a chapel built in 1915 beside the Cape Fear River, chasing the desire of making music in Nashville, welcoming two children there, being captivated by home design and renovation, and finally retracing roots back home, the founding of Haithcock Home is as much of a continuation of a story as it is the foundation of it’s own. It is a story of unexpected change, relentless ambition and continuous affirmation.

is more than a place to lay your head. It’s more than a place to get dressed or make yourself ready for the world outside. Home is a place to enjoy simple moments alone, and to make memories with family and friends. Home is a place to embrace the warmth of gathering, and is seasoned by the life lived within and around its walls. It’s a place to show the world your most authentic self.
Home should embody where you’ve been, where you are, and be the foundation of the life before you. We believe great design is essential to this way of thinking.
Our own roots are found in the the natural beauty, heritage and casual elegance of the Southeastern Seaboard and North Carolina’s Coastal Plains. But, Much like our home state, the establishment of Haithcock Home comes from a place of both aspiration and contradiction. First established in Nashville, Tennessee, we are now based in Eastern North Carolina while continuing to provide our services throughout both states and to areas beyond.

Initially, our work was done as a necessity and only for ourselves in our own spaces. But as we started to show our home, inquires began about our availability to work for others. At first, there was reluctance because our paths were leading elsewhere but, in short time, we found ourselves drawn to the idea of helping others realize their dreams and to make the absolute best of any space that we were able to be a part of. With a commitment to lasting quality and timeless beauty, this thinking remains with us to this day.
We hope to sell much more than a design or contacting service. We seek to build relationships, and to tell a story that provides a notion of style and a philosophy of life. From the architecture to the furnishings, each element is distinguished by meticulous care and an eye for detail tailored to its unique setting. The results are spaces that are both authentic and aspirational. We strive to bring this same attention to quality into every client’s home.
